Foot Reflexology - Incorporating Chi-Reflexology

Reflexology of the feet is an amazing non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing.

Chi (energy) Reflexology is based on Anatomical Reflection Theory combined with Chinese philosophy including TCM and acupressure. It works with the body to bring about balance on all levels and promote change naturally.

The feet represent mini maps of the body's anatomy, containing thousands of nerve endings, so by applying pressure to specific reflex areas, the body's natural ability to heal is activated to restore and maintain balance.

Massaging and touching the feet to help the body is a very ancient practice, with evidence dating back over 5000 years in Egypt and China and even as far as 12,000BC when the Incas in Latin America were believed to have used it.

Zone Therapy Facial Reflexology

As with conventional foot or hand reflexology, facial reflexology is a non-invasive treatment, which aims to relax and reduce stress by assisting the body to heal and balance.

This beautiful deluxe therapy consists of a gentle cleanse, warming cloths, toning mist and application of soothing serum to begin the journey. Bespoke facial oil allows gentle effleurage, sweeping movements, massage and finger pressure,

The use of cooling Rose quartz and Aventurine tools are used on specific acupressure points/reflexology points on the face, opening the zone lines and massaging the underlying musculature.

This treatment brings about a deep sense of calm and relaxation, reducing facial muscle tension, whilst encouraging blood and lymph flow.

Facial reflexology draws from oriental medicine, in particular acupuncture. It is largely inspired by Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese medicinal systems; the face being a micro-system of the internal organs.

Quote by Marie-France Muller, M.D.

"Everything that we are is projected onto our face, in particular our physiological, psychological and pathological state".

Hand Reflexology

Hand reflexology compliments foot reflexology and uses an ancient massage technique that targets specific parts of the body via reflexing the 'body map' areas with pressure of the therapists fingers.

This treatment is attractive and beneficial for the elderly, those who are a little foot shy, have a lower limb injury, a disability, prefer a shorter treatment or as part of a combination treatment.

This can be a self empowering therapy as it can be used by the client as effective home care to enhance the benefits of both hands and feet treatments.

Hot Stones Reflexology

Hot stone reflexology includes the use of of beautiful basalt heated stones in combination with finger pressure on specific reflex points on the feet to release tension at a deeper level. The heat of these ancient volcanic stones on the feet and lower legs penetrates deeper into the layers of muscle, to assist in opening and activating the energy channels of the reflex points.

This may lead to deeper relaxation, better elimination of waste from the body and release of tension in connective tissue.
